The CACUSS Student Conduct & Case Managers Communities of Practice in collaboration with the Association of Student Conduct Administration have joined forces to host a drive-in workshop at Ryerson University on March 6th.
The drive-in will focus on how colleges and universities in Ontario are implementing sexual violence policies under Bill 132 regulations, in effect January 2017. The daylong workshop will address current trends for providing high quality support services to students affected by sexual violence, including a moderated panel discussion on the various models emerging on campuses for supporting students and investigating complaints of sexual violence.
Facilitators will lead concurrent sessions on a range of topics including: establishing trauma-informed investigations and adjudications, supporting students who have experienced sexual violence, reviewing legislation updates and next steps, and promoting self-care to address vicarious trauma.
