Through collaboration of the Learning Commons, the Faculty of Science and Arts Advising Offices, strategies are being developed to help students achieve academic success. This workshop will discuss and demonstrate innovative strategies being explored and developed around early intervention with students at academic risk. Strategies include integrating four workshops into one in order to help students identify strengths, target weakness, and create an action plan for learning. We will also discuss the use of peer coaching by senior students to enhance skill acquisition and refinement for first-year students.
