Job Information and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Career & Experiential Learning, the position has a dual focus related to the management of Career Services staff and the development and maintenance of an external employer engagement strategy. The position ensures the effective management of services, programming and resources offered by Career Services. The position provides regular budget monitoring and ensures fiscal responsibility for operating budget(s) and provides statistical reporting for the department. The position is responsible for developing relationships and identifying career and experiential opportunities with corporate, public sector and non-profit employers on a local regional, national and international level. The position develops
and implements a year-round marketing and employer development strategy.
Group affiliation for this position is with Administrative, Professional, Confidential (APC) Group. The
position is evaluated at a Group 7 (salary range $72,377 - $93,276).

Experience and Education Requirements
To be the successful Manger, Career Services & Employer Engagement you will possess an Undergraduate Degree and a minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of directly related experience. A Masters Degree would be considered an asset. Supervisory experience is required; supervisory experience in a unionized environment would be an asset. You must have intermediate to advanced skill level with MS Office (especially Word, Outlook), excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and negotiate changes in priorities as required. Strong presentation skills, the proven ability to be persuasive and to effect positive change while building strong relationships along with a collaborative, positive and professional approach to working with teams and colleagues is required. Understanding of academic and administrative structures, the ability to research, process, organize and present information interestingly and
convincingly and the ability to prioritize work assignments and deliver by the appropriate deadlines will round out your qualifications as the successful candidate.
