Call for Proposals--Fall CACUSS Programming!

August 4, 2021

CACUSS is planning three series for Fall 2021 to engage and connect on key topics identified by our members!  We want YOU to participate and present! Note: Accepted presenters will receive free registration/access to all three series!

Our Mental Health; Exploring perspectives of Health & Wellbeing of Student Affairs Staff

Student Affairs professionals have been engaged for decades supporting student mental health. The last 18 months have turned attention to our own mental health as professionals, and have opened up opportunities for us to have conversations about wellness, working conditions, challenges, and tools to manage our own mental health and support our teams. We invite presentations from colleagues who can explore different perspectives, share research, tools, and successful practices with others.

Student Affairs Careers; Transitions, Challenges and Opportunities

This is an opportunity to have conversations about the Student Affairs profession in Canada. This series is aimed at folks who are thinking about career transitions, or who are curious to have conversations about career advancement, professional identity, evolving challenges, and more! We welcome presentations that explore diverse perspectives about the Canadian Student Affairs profession and professional roles.

Promising Practices in Virtual Student Support

The COVID-19 pandemic has moved almost all of our services for students online. This series explores ways in which Virtual Programming and Student Services have evolved, adapted and innovated. We invite presenters to share what they have learned and how new ways of offering programs and support can continue even when face-to-face programming resumes. Presentations can address challenges, data gathered, and explore conversations about the future of student affairs roles.

The CALL FOR PROPOSALS for both series is open now and will close August 15, 2021. For further details, see the CFP submission form.
