The Director, Global Education, brings focus and coordination to international partnership activities and global competency training and initiatives for students, staff and industry, and ensures NAIT is aligned effectively with federal/provincial governments, and external bodies.

The position supports the development of policy and practices to support internationalization at NAIT, ensures NAIT’s adherence to relevant government policy, and supports advocacy with government and external stakeholders related to international work and acceptance of international students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conceptualize, develop, and lead the implementation of NAIT's strategic plan to meet NAIT’s broad internationalization goals.
• Manage key outcomes for the internationalization of NAIT’s campus.
• Guide cross-institute leaders on international-related initiatives and processes.
• Develop risk mitigation processes.
• Provide expert-level immigration information/advising.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key external contacts such as government and international partners in Canada and abroad.
• Supervisory and budget related activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
The successful candidate will bring expert-level knowledge of multi-level government regulations and expectations related to international education and immigration.
Knowledge of theories related to student development, adult education, universal design, and leadership, along with supervisory and budget management skills are essential, rounded out with well-developed communication and relationship-building skills.

Along with a master’s degree in an area of international study, certification as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and certification as an International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) is required. The successful candidate will have several years of related experience.

Remuneration: $3,497.75 – $4,633.98 bi-weekly plus a comprehensive benefits package.
