PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Psychologist - Indigenous, Black, and Racialized Students supports students using a short-term, goal-directed, stepped care model, to further our work with marginalized students as we better understand the lived experiences of Black and racialized students on this campus, specifically by developing and providing culturally informed outreach and prevention mental health services that support the needs of Indigenous, Black and Racialized students.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have:
• Ph.D. in clinical or counselling psychology
• Psychologist, registered in the province of Ontario or eligible for registration, and have related work experience (2 years)
• Identifies as Indigenous, Black or as a member of a racialized group and has experience delivering culturally competent interventions, including supporting Indigenous, Black, and Racialized students who have experienced oppression and racism
• Demonstrated and strong commitment to social justice and issues of diversity
• Knowledge, sensitivity and understanding of the social, political, personal and cross-cultural needs, concerns and interests of Indigenous, Black, and Racialized communities.
• Experience in providing short-term psychotherapy and crisis intervention
• Ability to provide outreach and consultation to wider campus community

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Previous experience in a college or university Student Counselling Centre or experience working with older adolescents/young adults
• Demonstrated experience in working with a stepped-care model
• Demonstrated experience in providing group therapy
• Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision of graduate students
