The Faculty of Health is York University's second largest Faculty, with approximately ten-thousand undergraduate majors, approximately six hundred and fifty graduate students and over 50,000 alumni. The Faculty of Health offers a wide range of undergraduate degree programs and specializations, including Global Health, Health Studies (with specializations in Health Policy, Health Management and Health Informatics), Kinesiology and Health Science, Neuroscience, Nursing, and Psychology. Our undergraduate degree options include the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Health Studies, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Our degree programs are complemented by several certificate options. Reporting to the Director, Student, Academic Services & Strategic Initiatives, the Manager, Student Success & Stakeholder Engagement provides leadership and strategic direction to the operations of the Student Success and Stakeholder Engagement unit and leads the development of a comprehensive student success and stakeholder engagement strategy for the Faculty of Health. Working closely with the Director, the Manager of Student Services, the Heads of Calumet and Stong Colleges, the Associate Dean Students, other members of the senior management team, and the Student Success and Stakeholder Engagement team, the Manager serves as the primary liaison between the Faculty, its students and alumni. The Manager provides leadership to the planning, development, coordination, operationalization and evaluation of activities and programs to meaningfully engage York students and alumni to support students throughout their experience with the Faculty of Health and the University, from recruitment to convocation and then as alumni.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will bring the following:

• University degree required.
• Masters degree preferred in a field related to student development theories, student engagement, leadership studies.
• Advanced knowledge of programs designed to support student engagement, student leadership and student success in higher education.
• Currency with related research and theory and comprehensive knowledge of student success and engagement theory throughout the student life cycle.
• Minimum 3 years recent experience in a fast-paced post-secondary student affairs environment leading the coordination and provision of student success/alumni engagement programming.
• Proven experience in innovative program design, implementation and evaluation of post-secondary student success and retention programs, initiatives and services.
• Demonstrated experience in the application of student success theories, practices and programs in a student services area.
• Current on trends, new developments, and technological advances in the area of student success and alumni engagement.
• Active participation in relevant national and international organizations.
• Active participation in relevant national and international organizations.
• Working knowledge of student success structures and developing issues at other Ontario universities and Colleges.
• Experience providing leadership and managing staff in a unionized environment.
• Knowledge and experience in program administration, service delivery, financial management, university policy, information systems, records management, data reporting, human resources and collective agreements.
