About the Co-Curricular Record/Transcript (CCR/T)

A CCR/T program provides an official document validating a student’s achievement and involvement through a specific post-secondary institution’s defined Co-Curricular programming.

Co-Curricular programming provides students with diverse opportunities to engage in activities identified as fostering lifelong learning through personal growth and development, developing employability skills and enhancing transferable skills beyond what is recognized on the student’s academic transcript.

Mandate

The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) Community of Practice’s (CoP) purpose is to provide the opportunity and space for professionals across Canada to discuss the design, implementation, and best practices in delivery of a CCR/T program. We discuss research, implementation strategies, challenges, successes, and collaborate with students, staff and industry.

Objectives

The objectives of the CCR/T CoP are as follows:

  1. To provide standards of practice for Canadian institutions looking at implementing a CCR/T program and institutions currently offering a CCR/T program.
  2. To act as a central repository of CCR/T resources for institutions offering a CCR/T program, students engaging in CCR/T programming, and employers looking for information regarding the CCR/T.
  3. To work with employers to develop strategies on how students can effectively use the CCR/T during the hiring process.
  4. To promote and support research and assessment within the field of CCR/Ts.
  5. To work with post-secondary institutions on strategies to incorporate the CCR/T into the admissions process (professional, graduate, transfers)
  6. To provide a space to discuss any other questions, comments, concerns that members would like to address.
